Frequently Asked Questions...

I don't mean watch cable and use the internet at the same time i just wanna make that clear.
But is there like a type of monitor or cable i could buy to connect both my comcast cable and my computer to just one monitor?.
Sorry if this is in the wrong category.
Oh and also if i could hook them to gather would i still beable to hook up my ps2 to it?.
Answer:
If your monitor is HDCP-compliant, you can connect it to a digital HD cable box to turn that monitor into an HDTV.
So check if your monitor is HDCP-compliant, and if you have a digital HD cable box.
Note that the low-definition cable boxes CANNOT be directly connected to a monitor. Only the digital HD cable boxes can, because they have either a DVI or HDMI output.
Comcast gives you a digital HD cable box when you sign up for their HD service, if you haven't done so already.

Can I Watch Cable TV Online Through The Internet
Using the Internet to watch television shows has in recent years become an increasingly popular way for people across the world to watch cable TV online. This trend is due in part to the convenience of being able to watch TV "on the go" and from locations that a TV viewer would otherwise be unable to watch the show on their television set.
With more and more consumers looking for extra flexibility in their television viewing, most major cable networks including ABC, CBS and NBC now offer viewers the ability to watch selected shows from their television line-up on their websites. There are many methods available to consumers that easily allow them to watch cable TV online.
How can I Watch Cable TV Online?
Fortunately, the process of watching cable TV online is pretty simple. There are a few simple elements that you will need in order to make this possible. These elements include:
High-Speed Internet Connection: If you want to watch cable TV online, you will need to have a high-speed Internet connection. Slower Internet speeds will hinder the speed at which these shows will load and decrease the quality of the shows that you are watching online. This could result in your videos freezing up or appearing distorted while watching them. Therefore, you must ensure that you have a high quality Internet connection in order to fully enhance your online viewing experience.
Flash Video Components: Most methods of viewing television online require the use of Flash video components. If your computer was bought within the past five years, it would already be loaded with Flash video. However, if your computer is more than five years old and does not have the required Flash video components to view television online, you will need to download these components and install them on your system. Fortunately, these are freely available online.
Once you have your high speed internet connection and your Flash video in place, you are all set to watch cable TV online.
Where do I go to Watch Cable Television Online?
First, you need to know that there are two ways in which you can watch cable TV online. You can view prerecorded episodes that are stored online for view any time or you can watch live streaming cable television. The choice is yours.
Once you have determined whether you want to view pre-recorded or live show, you just need to browse the internet and look for those websites that offer what you want. You will find that several online services offer free viewing whereas there are other sites that charge subscription fees. Compare the various services and fees and see which ones offer what you are looking for at a price that is acceptable to you.
There is an unlimited resource of services that offer cable television for view online. This gives you the added advantage of being able to choose the best services at the best prices when you want to watch cable TV online.
