Frequently Asked Questions...
Dish Network setup/info?
I have 2 HDTV's and 1 SDTV I was thinking of getting 1 DuoDVR VIP 222 receiver & 1 Solo VIP 211k. Is there any way of accesing the content of the DVR from the Solo VIP211k receiver? Will the DuoDVR receiver give me independant viewing on my SDTV?
Answer:
Neither the Vip 222 or the Vip 211k have DVR capabilities. The 222 receiver is a dual tuner, one being HD and the other a SD tuner. The 211k is a single HD tuner receiver.
In your situation, if you're wanting HD to your HDTVs and SD to your SDTV, is to get the 722 or the 722k receiver. Either one of those has the DVR. It would run one HDTV and one SDTV. And for the other HDTV, get either a 612 (single tuner HD w/DVR) or the 211k (single tuner HD w/o DVR.
As for the 'accessing the content', the answer is yes. On the 722 or 722k receiver, both tuners work completely independent of each other. Both can record separate programs (up to 2 programs being recorded simultaneously).
