Frequently Asked Questions...
Hooking up 5 receivers to satellite dish.?
I have 5 FTA/Dish Network receivers. I want to hook all of them up to a dish so that i can watch different channels on all the receivers. What dish setup do i need for this to work? I am really confused about what lnbs are. I live in NJ.
What about dual lnb? What does that do and how many would I need?
I have this so far. http://i29.tinypic.com/zv5r37.jpg Will this be everything and will this distort my quality at all. If so how can i make it so that the quality is not distorted?
Answer:
you can used the DISH500 now on the lnb you have 2 out puts and 1 in put what you need too do is get a multiswitch 3 by 4 ( 3 in and 4 out) on the top of the switch you will a
13 volt.,offair,and a 18 volt in puts
for the dish you must run one(1) RG 6 CABLE from the out put of the dish into the 18 volt in put of the switch and the you can run 4 RG 6 CABLE out from the bottom of the switch to each receiver .Then run one (1) more RG 6 CABLE from the out put on the dish to the 5 receiver that will get all your receivers working.
I hope the above info can help you.
YES TRY WHAT YOU GOT THAT WILL WORK
